About Jodi

Jodi (Buckman) Weinstein, MS, RD, CSO, CDN is a Registered Dietitian, Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition, and a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist in New York City. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Food Studies with a minor in Communication Studies, as well as a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from New York University.
Jodi is currently the Clinical Nutrition Coordinator at The Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai Medical Center where she works closely with all types of cancer patients to ensure they are meeting their nutritional needs before, during, and after treatment. She also leads a comprehensive weight management class at a fitness center, which has been successful for many years in helping dozens of clients lose weight and eat healthier. Additionally, Jodi maintains a private practice, in which she provides individualized counseling to adults dealing with a variety of nutritional concerns.
Jodi learned a tremendous amount about diverse ethnic cuisines when she facilitated community workshops and lectures on healthy eating and wellness throughout different neighborhoods of New York City. Working at Mount Sinai for the last nine years has provided Jodi with many professional opportunities. Before working with cancer patients, she worked closely with patients afflicted with neurological disorders, such as multiple sclerosis, and conducted research on nutrition and multiple scleorsis. Jodi has also led cancer nutrition support groups and lectured to physicians and nurses at medical conferences, as well as to those living with diseases, such as cancer and multiple sclerosis. Additionally, Jodi has been interviewed as a nutrition expert for television and newspapers and has contributed nutrition articles to various newsletters discussing healthy eating and nutrition for specific diseases. She currently is conducting a research study on nutrition and cancer.
She is a member of the American Dietetic Association; the Dietitians in Oncology Nutrition Practice Group; the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutritionist Practice Group; the Dietitians in Nutrition Support Practice Group; and the Nutrition Entrepreneurs Practice Group.
Jodi was recently married in her hometown, Chicago, Illinois and lives with her husband in New York City.
